Mr Henry and Side Hustle is a project of drummer and songwriter Henry Weisiger, based in the Washington D.C. area. After years playing with bands of all styles, from swing and blues to indie rock and more, he has carved out his own space with music that leans into classic sounds while adding a fresh and personal twist to retro-inspired rock.

With roots in timeless influences like The Beatles, Santana, and Led Zeppelin, and shaped by the drumming finesse of players like Buddy Rich, Mitch Mitchell, and Ginger Baker, Henry’s songs are driven by feel as much as melody. His background as a drummer influences the way he writes, often starting with rhythm and following whatever sound feels right in the moment.

There is no set formula. Some songs are stripped-back and direct, while others bring in layers of guitar, piano, horns, or harmonies, always focused on serving the mood and the story. With seven songs already out and more in the works, Mr Henry and Side Hustle offers a sound that feels familiar but never stuck in place. It is music rooted in experience, shaped by instinct, and open to wherever it needs to go.
